Kentucky is again proving itself as a national model for developing safer and more inclusive infrastructure.
Kentucky’s new “Complete Streets, Roads, and Highways Manual” has earned a National Recognition Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 2023 Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) competition—the “Academy Awards of the engineering industry.”
Keith Lovan, Vice President of Bike Walk Kentucky, is also the project manager of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC) Complete Streets, Roads, and Highways Manual. Keith received an American Council for Engineering Companies of Kentucky (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Award in March at Buffalo Trace and traveled to Washington, D.C. to receive national recognition at the ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards Gala.
