Cycling Trails
One of the goals of Bike Walk Kentucky is to provide information on places to ride your bike throughout the state. Check out some of the local cycling resources below. We also recommend that you contact the Cycling Clubs listed above for more riding recommendations.
Great Urban and Rural Trails
The Town Branch Trail and Town Branch Commons will connect downtown Lexington with the Legacy Trail and the Bluegrass countryside.
The Louisville Loop is the 100-mile multi recreational non-motorized path planned to encircle the city and link neighborhoods to parks and civic attractions, creating transportation alternatives and recreation opportunities.
The Dawkins Line Rail Trail, an 18 mile one-way route, is a major attraction for walkers, cyclists, and horseback riders from all over Kentucky and beyond.
Calvert City Greenway Trail
The Calvert City Greenway offers 10 miles of paved trails connecting residents and visitors to Kentucky Lake.
Cave County Trails is a regional network of biking, hiking, equestrian, and water trails connecting communities in the Mammoth Cave Area.
Tri-State Trails marks the spot where Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee meet. Collectively, this trail system promotes over 840 miles of trails in Northern Kentucky.
The Clyde F. Boyles Greenway Trail extends more than 5 miles, linking residential neighborhoods with city parks, the McCracken County trail system, and the riverfront.
Kentucky Tourism: Bicycle Vacations
As the official promoter for visitors to our beautiful state, this organization assists us in expanding infrastructure and promoting outdoor activities. Some events and cycling routes include the Horsey Hundred, Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Kentucky Cycling Challenge, and Bourbon Country Burn.
